Probably Birkitts on Steep Hill in Lincoln if they are still there.

The type is 8 pin Foster connector. I don't know if the UK has a
different name for it.

[Elecraft] Seattle K2 calibration

2005-08-31 Thread Lee Kimber
Hi,

This is my first post to the list.

I wondered if there are any people in the Seattle area with experience
of calibrating a K2?

I have just finished building mine and am looking for a more experienced
handhold to get me through calibration. I think my system is working but
I have ended up with a left over "104" ceramic cap for which I can't
find a home on the PCB and am finding the calibration instructions don't
have much impact on what appears to be a very poor 40m reception. In
other words, I think I may have a problem with my K2. However, I live in
a basement apartment with no decent antenna so my environment is
sub-sub-optimal!

If there is anyone in the Seattle area with more experience than the
zero experience that I have, I'd really appreciate some guidance.

Thanks!
