[Elecraft] K2 # 4721 QRV
I just built my second K2. This one is for QRP using the internal battery. The other one is my QRO home station version. I hated tearing everything up just to go QRPing. I got the kit Friday afternoon and I just finished Sunday at midnight. No problems. Except I did try to load up my NGEN noise generator. I smoked it. cry Mike K6EEP ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. [Elecraft] Marote 2.4 released on my NEW website
Hi all! I have been very busy with my new website and related projects. I did manage to put enough features together to make Marote 2.4 ready to go. Linux users can download it here http://www.hamsoftware.org My callsign has changed from AB6CV to K6EEP. You can verify it on qrz.com or the FCC website. I am a CW nut and EEP sounds cool on CW. New version of Marote features more CW contesting features. I also updated the RF power controls. (That makes it sound so simple. It wasn't.) Keep the great ideas coming! 73, Mike K6EEP ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. [Elecraft] Website change for Marote Linux software
My new site is http://www.hamsoftware.org Should be a much faster and more stable website. I have a vanity callsign 'on order' from the FCC. When that is approved I will have to change the old site. 73, Mike AB6CV ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. [Elecraft] PICs re-writable?
Since I now have a pile of old Elecraft PIC chips I got to wondering if they can be erased and reused? I know they have code protection that protects them from being read. But I wonder if they can be erased and reused? I am probably dreaming. :) 73, Mike AB6CV ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. [Elecraft] KIO2 Programmer's reference question
I am trying to add new DSP filter features to my K2 control software, Marote, on Linux. I just added the new DSP module to my K2 #1974. So I had to play with it more. I cannot get SW80 and SW81 to do anything. I want to turn on the DSP NR mode. I am able to cycle through the various DSP filters using SW29. And I can read the audio filter state via FW response string. Of course it only tells what audio filter number you are using. I see that there is a compromise here since the are 2 audio filter boards that could be installed in the rig. The plain old audio filter and the DSP module. Currently I am playing with adding giant usb tuning knob support to my program. Maybe some of the Windows programmers may want to take a look at this thing. Here is the link. http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/powermate/features.php# Mike AB6CV ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Re: [Elecraft] KX-1 InP Hnd locks TX on
I did some experimenting. Here are my results. Steps to reproduce: 1. Obtain a male to male 1/8 stereo cable. And a jumper clip cable. 2. Plug one end of stereo cable into the KX1. Make sure KX1 is in hand key mode. 3. On the other end of the stereo cable, short the center of a stereo plug to the ground end. I did this by overlaping one alligator clip over the two contacts. 4. Just tap the tip of the stereo plug to the ground lead. (the other end of the jumper clip). Now the transmitter is constantly keyed on. I think this is a bug. It should be more forgiving when in hand input mode. It should ignore the RB3 signal on the MCU in hand input mode. Only ground and RB2 should work. The way it is now it's like a booby trap waiting to spring on you. I discovered this feature on Field Day. Much to my dismay. 73, Mike AB6CV ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
