How difficult is it to install the sub receiver in the K3? How much time does it take? Considering taking delivery of K3 without the sub receiver installed.. [Elecraft] 1.8 or 2.1 kc Filter
Anyone have experience with 1.8 and 2.1 kc filters for the K3? Trying to decide which one to get.. I am a DXer exclusively..not a contester... work CW rarely Does the audio from 1.8 sound too pinched? I just dont want to hear a 59+10 signal that is 3 kc..from the frequency I am listening on any thoughts? on what filters to get.. [Elecraft] Which Filter for Transmit
If I have the 2.1 filter selectedfor receive...on main receiver and I transmit...am I transmitting thru the stock 2.7 kc filter or thru the 2.1 filter? Does the radio transmit thru the widest filter? [Elecraft] Ham Radio Deluxe with K3
I have Ham Radio Deluxe Version 3.1in the set-up for radios it only lists the K2on the web site it says it supports K2 and K3, do I need an updated version or will the version work with the K3? I see several guys using the Kenwood MC 43 S mic with K3.. any comparisons. with the MH2. ? Manual is confusing to say least... I am new to digital modes... If want to decode RTTY...just using the K3. what mode do you set radio..for.? AFSK A, FSK D or PSK D ??? or DATA A ??
