[Elecraft] r5 and r4 on kpa3 board?
i sent a message to list a while back about my k3 not putting out any power over 12 watts.its still not...I'm on the LONG LONG queue for sending in(seems they need more repair techs) we took most of the boards out, reseated them etc.no change. i did notice one thing that appears weird and must have been done by elecraft repair on a previous trip for k3s board and other updates.. R4 and R5 on kpa3 board are unsoldered on one end and flipped aroundeffectively taking them out of circuit. does anyone know the purpose of this being done? [Elecraft] k3 no power out over 12 watts
Turned on my k3 couple days ago and I suddenly have no power out over 12 watts. Had been working fine prior to that.?? Ok greatgood to know. I am thinking of replacing my OBSOLETE FT1000D second radio so2r for another k3. If anyone knows of a well filtered one at a reasonable price, I'm in the market. What does this mean? K3's will no longer be able to be repaired? Obsolete??? "Spare K3 board supplies are low or gone."
