[Elecraft] XG3 RTTY Send

2011-09-22 Thread Roger Stimson
Group,
Does anyone have the series of commands that are necessary to send a
test RTTY message from the XG3? I wasn't having much success on my reading of
the instructions in the manual.

Re: [Elecraft] FM Filter

2008-05-23 Thread Roger Stimson

Lyle,
Thanks! That did the trick. I had the filter in position #1, but
did not have the bandwidth wide enough.

[Elecraft] FM Filter

2008-05-23 Thread Roger Stimson

Has anyone installed the FM Filter in their K3? If you did, how did you
configure the Band Width? There was nothing in my box indicating Band
Width.
Furthermore, I keep getting an error message "Error TXF" when I try to
transmit after entering a repeater offset (-600) and tone (100). What
button haven't I pushed or what CONFIG have I missed, Everything seems to
be working fine with SSB. I am using the Elecraft 144 MHz transverter. Is
this mode of operation in the latest K3 firmware?

[Elecraft] Loss of CW Sidetone and Output

2008-05-04 Thread Roger Stimson

Somehow in testing and setting up my XV144 with my K2 (#3478), I have
done something that removed the CW Sidetone and Output. I'm fairly certain
it is a Menu issue since I have SSB output. I am currently using a Down
East Microwave 903 transver with the K2. I have moved the XV144 to the K3
(#280).
 What have a done?

[Elecraft] Using tthe K3 with a Heil HM-10

2008-04-22 Thread Roger Stimson
Group,
I seem to remember a posting on VP6DX's use of Heil HM-10 mikes with
their K3's. Also there was a list of the configurations. I could not find it
in the archives or on a "goggle" of VP6DX. Does anyone recall this posting?
And could you direct me to it? Thanks.

[Elecraft] No FSK

2008-02-21 Thread Roger Stimson
Group,
After the recent firmware update I am no longer able to send or
receive RTTY. A few weeks ago I experimented with WriteLog and RTTY with
excellent results. Now I cannot generate any RTTY output nor receive RTTY in
Data Mode A. What is going on? I am using the same setup I used a few weeks
ago: FSK input to pin 1 of the AUX/IN jack along with PTT IN. WriteLog looks
like it is generating the FSK, i.e. the MMTTY display is giving me the two
ellipses. Everything seems normal on CW and SSB.

[Elecraft] RTTY Decode

2008-02-01 Thread Roger Stimson
How do I turn "off" the date and time display so that I can see the decoded
information? I have pressed and Held Data MD and set the lines 45 bps and FSK
D. The T shows up under DATA, but all I see in VFOB is the date,
What must I do next?

[Elecraft] K3 and FSK RTTY

2008-02-01 Thread Roger Stimson
Has anyone setup WriteLog for FSK RTTY? I don't seem to be able to set up
MMTTY/FSK for Rcv. The screen looks good. Nice XY Scope on FSK Xmit. Just a
small white cluster on XY Scope on Recv and garbage decoding.
