[Elecraft] KX3 Controlled Envelope SSB

2023-03-21 Thread Scott Zastoupil via Elecraft
So I have to ask since I have not seen any activity since 2016.  Is it possible
to have Elecraft provide a KX3 software update to implement CESSB to the KX3?
It would be nice to have the extra ~3dB to the rig for POTA activations.  I
would imagine it would be a nice bullet to add to the marketing page.  I have
had my rig since a few months after the rig was released and enjoy using it.
It has mostly been used on CW.  But venturing into POTA, it would be nice to
have everything I can get into once package for SSB contacts and less need for
an amp.
So, Elecraft, if you're listening, here is a request for implementing the
featurePlease!  :)

[Elecraft] KX3 CW Muting on Strong Signal

2016-03-14 Thread Scott Zastoupil via Elecraft
During the Wisconsin QSO Party this weekend I experienced on a few occasions
were a strong signal was near zero beat (maybe +/-50Hz or better), but all I
could hear was "thumping" of the signal.  So these people were calling me, but
I could not hear the 600Hz sidetone.  In order for me to hear them, I enabled
RIT and tuned a few hundred hertz up.  I could see them in the passband of
panadapter.
- Issue was with about 5 strong signals- Filter centered and 200-400Hz wide-
Signal was visible near zero beat on NaP3 panadapter within pass band.  I/Q
input to PC for visual spectrum only.  Not using audio from PC.- Preamp off in
many/all cases on 40 meters.- Listening to audio via stereo headphones direct
to radio.- Firmware updated last fall.
Any ideas or known issues in this scenario?
