[Elecraft] K1 backlight resistor
Hi folks, just built the K1 backlight mode for my K1#1434 and I really like it! The backlight makes it much more comfortable in darker rooms. I am using the 200 Ohm resistor and now I am wondering if anyone tried a smaller resistor to make it a little more bright. Would it make any sense? I dont mind even the K1 would draw more current. Thanks for suggestions, Tom , DL2HRF ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. [Elecraft] Re: How many Elecrafts are in Germany?
Hi Karsten, if you collect a list ...you can put my call on it ( very satisfied Elecraft OP :-) ) DL2HRF K1 # 1434 73 de Tom, Elecraft CC # 016 Is there a way to find out the names/e-mail-adresses of elecraft-builders in Germany? I find it hard to work 100 elecraft-stations distributed all over the world. May be easier to run a german/elecrafters-party in order to collect points for the diplome. I would be prepared to start an e-mail list. 73 Karsten ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. [Elecraft] K1 bad drift on 20m
Hi folks, I am operating my K1 #1434 for more then 2 years now with a 2 band 40/20 and a 4 band module 40/30/20/17m. Recently I discovered an drift problem on 20 (only 20) on my 4 band module. (Blue trimmer caps inside). This problem occurs during RX and TX.First I thought the station I am just receiving has a poor stability but then all the stations on 20 sounded very bad.So I turned on my Icom 735 and listened to my own transmitting signal. The tone sounded really rough. I wonder if any one of you has ever mentioned this on just one band of the K1. I must add that my problem does not exist with the 2 band module and it seems after some 45 minutes after turning on the K1 this bad drifting disappears... Thanks very much for thinking about it! 73 de Tom, DL2HRF ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. [Elecraft] Re : K1-4 Filter Board New Trimmer Caps
Hi Vin, In the attachment you find a picture of the correct input of the blu timmer caps for the KFL1-4. You can also look for my K1 pictures at qsl.net Follow the link to my QRP. 73 de Tom, DL2HRF KR2F wrote: I can't imagine I am misunderstanding what the narrow, flattened end is, although, for the record, both ends are flattened. [Elecraft] KFL 1-4 question
Hello Elecrafters, I am planing to build a KFL 1-4 soon and I am just going through the parts inventory of my kit. I have included as Xtal X3 18.000MHz and it is said this Xtal is for 10.0 Mhz band. But I would like to have the 10.1 MHz band here in Europe of course. My K1 (2 bander #1434) is set for 80kHz range. So my question is: Do I need the other Xtal which is 18.100 Mhz (not supplied in the kit) or can I tune the board to my desired frequency range with that included 18.000MHz Xtal? Many thanks for any help! 73 de Tom, DL2HRF ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
