Probably your most accessible open source/linux code will be SPICE3.
You might be able to find an RPM or "apt-get"-able binary somewhere, or you
can pull the sources down from Berserkely.

On FreeBSD you can get this going just by "cd /usr/ports/cad/spice; make
install", but that probably won't help you.
For schematic capture you might want to look at gEDA (gschem, gnetlist and
other tools):

I've used gschem and gnetlist a little. They're not as easy to use as some of
the commercial tools, but you can do quite a lot with them.
There's another circuit simulator out there for linux and other platforms, but
it's not yet open sourced and available only by special licensing. Hope to be
able to say something different in a few months.
