[Elecraft] kx3 receiver verses k3s receiver
QST- Hello, Can Anyone tell me if they have compared the KX3 Receiver to the K3s receiver? Not with equipment test, but just buy listening to both receivers and judging which is better for them. Please do not refer to spec’s just plain ear listening . I know we all hear differently, but was wondering how much better the K3s would be for more money. Re: [Elecraft] Elecraft Digest, Vol 142, Issue 1
HI Dave, I felt the same way as you about the activity of some hams. I’m now mostly all the time CW. The operator are more like the old days and its more fun with the key. There’s really not much to talk about after 50 years of hamming, i received my ticket in 1964. Was so, so different back then, but there still are lots of cw op’s. The only thing I don’t like about whats happening to our great hobby , i send QSL cards and don’t get many returns. Just not the same anymore. Its a joy to receive a card and make a friend, you remember the old days. vincent, wb2pdw 73 > On Feb 15, 2016, at 3:49 PM, elecraft-requ...@mailman.qth.net wrote: > > Send Elecraft mailing list submissions to > elecraft@mailman.qth.net > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > elecraft-requ...@mailman.qth.net > > You can reach the person managing the list at > elecraft-ow...@mailman.qth.net > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Elecraft digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Sorry About the caps, seems like i'm always saying i'm sorry about the use of capital letters. I have a vision problem, so i'm going to increase the size; hope this will show up! i like the color blue, but don't know if this will go to the reflector the way i see it. [Elecraft] kx3 with amp's
Dear group, I would like some help with my question of can I run two amplifiers in parallel into auto tuner from kx3? The reason is that I want to purchase a 500 watt elecraft amp and also the 500 tuner. I would like to use the tokyo 45 watt amp off the kx3, then into the elecraft 500 amp then into the elecraft tuner. I'm thinking that the relay timing of the kx3, and the other two amps will not function properly as far as the time it takes for the relays to open and close. The 45 watt tokyo has a 5-6 ms switching relay and i believe the 500 amp relay can be set from 0 -50 ms. Can all this work together, and has anyone on here done a similar set up? Another concern is the hook to the tuner? Thank you all for any support you can give me in this matter!
