[Elecraft] K3s and Acom 2000a
I've read the archives and see Joe Subich's, W4TV, recommendations. Using the E980297 cable from the K3s to the P3 and then a y cable from the P3 to connect with computer and CAT control to the Acom 2000a RCU. [Elecraft] P3 Ubdate
Well interesting discussion. I live in the city and have considerable noise on the bands and a noise blanker update to the SVGA would be very helpful. Being able to scroll up and down the monitor like MMTTY with a time stamp would make the P3 much more useful for digital modes. Being able to monitor output signal would be awesome. There were a lot of promises made for the P3 in the past and I'm hopeful that Elecraft will be able to complete the project. It's always a good idea to improve a product and Elecraft has been good about that in the past. Don, I guess there was no Beta of 3.79. Many of us have gotten use to downloading the Beta releases and so this threw us off. [Elecraft] Power-on AF noise burst
For what it's worth, I noticed some power-on noise with my K3 which was really no big deal but after I installed the AF Stage Mods the power-on noise went away. SN here 176. [Elecraft] Amplified speakers
I have been using West Mountain Radio COM spkr for amplified stereo speakers for the K3. They work wonderfully and there is absolutely no rfi with transmitting with the K3 and amplifier at 1 KW. [Elecraft] K3 Revision 2.31 and 2.32 and 2.33 Bug
On AM the 2.7 Khz filter looks like a narrow cw filter using AM. I went back to version 2.23 and the 13, 6 and 2.7 Khz filters look and sound ok. On AM the 13 and 6 Khz filters work ok but with the 2.7 Khz filter a very narrow 200 filter choice appears in the filter screen and the audio is distorted. [Elecraft] KRX3 Roofing Filters
Received my KRX3 subreceiver. I have a question about placement of roofing filter in the subreceiver. I am only using the 2.7 Khz filter in the subreceiver. Does it matter which position I place the 2.7 Khz filter or should I put it in the same position as the main receiver? [Elecraft] K3 and AM
Hello to the group. I hope everyone is enjoying their K3 as much as I. I got on AM Sunday morning for the first time. All those on the net said that the K3 sounded great. I wonder if anyone else has used their K3 on AM and have any suggestions as to power levels and carrier levels and if anyone has used a linear amplifier on AM with the K3. I've never operated AM and I vaguely remember that the power levels are different on AM than SSB. My amplifier is a Acom 1000. I would be interested in any suggestions. I was wondering if anyone knows if R-19 will need to be modified in all K-3s or is there a serial number where the value for R-19 was changed. Also would it be possible to change the Surface Mounted resistor for the correct value rather than add the old through the hole 1/4 watt resistor? [Elecraft] FS: KX1 and accessories
My KX1 30-80 is still available with KXAT-1 antenna tuner and KXPD1 keyer paddle. As everyone knows this is an amazing QRP transceiver which hears well and has good output on all bands-80, 40, 30 and 20 meters. The radio was kitted well and has always been covered when not used.
