[Elecraft] Interfacing an old MM transverter
I have connected the receive line from the transverter to the Transverter In BNC connector on the back of the rig. When I set that transverter to a low power setting the receive works fine, but there is insufficient power to drive the separate transmit line to the transverter. When I choose H2.5W, I can drive the transmit via the Ant1 socket, but the Transverter In socket seems disabled, so recieve no longer works. How do I configure the K3 so that I get 2.5W drive out and a separate receive IF line which works? -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/Interfacing-an-old-MM-transverter-tp7590240.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] Interfacing an old MM transverter
Thanks Joe & Don. I had forgotten about the RX ANT connection. I have a pre-amp conncted to RX ANT in/out, but I think I can daisy-chain the transverter through the pre-amp by-pass connection. The back of the K3 is getting busy! Thanks for your help. -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/Interfacing-an-old-MM-transverter-tp7590240p7590617.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

What is the problem you are referring to? Eric Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ, Elecraft wrote > What is the problem you are referring to? > > Eric > elecraft.com Hi Eric, I can't see how to set the transverter settings on the K3, so that I have the internal 2m transverter as the 2m IF to my external 10GHz transverter. I want to have 10GHz on the K3's frequency display and set the max. power for the 2m IF feed etc. Graham -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K3-and-Microwave-Transverters-using-144-Mhz-IF-tp7579003p7592621.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
