[Elecraft] re-a few questions on the K3
Hello Jobst I use a 40 meter center fed dipole (120 foot long) with a 4:1 Guanella balun ( QST april 2010) which gets direct onto the K3 automatic antenna tuner . I can operate from 160 to 10 meters, as, once ajusted, it memorizes all the frequencies. Of course I use the second antenna output A2 which is automatically connected when I switch to 40, 80, or 160, the other bands having separate antennas, (though I can use these on the dipole as well in case of need). The dipole, due to its particular length and balun arrangement, I suppose, has two resonances without the tuner on 30 m and...2 meters ! [Elecraft] K3 power loss
Hello (On behalf of a friend, Gerard, familiar with his K3, but not so much with the English language ) When he sets the power of his K3 at 110, 100, or 90 watts, it decreases gradually down to 50 watts, CW or SSB. If set to 80 watts, no change ! Has anyone an idea ? [Elecraft] KPA500 tolerance
Hello A friend of of mine has problems with a solid state amplifier that switches to safety at the least value of SWR, like 1.2 or 1.4 ! He would like to know what is the KPA500 tolerance concerning SWR... [Elecraft] Ham radio Radio deluxe et K3
Hello When Hamradio deluxe is connected to my K3, it works normally for 3 or 4 minutes, then gets stuck and refuses any operation ! Has anyone had this problem ? Any idea ?
