[Elecraft] Additional Info KPA 500 band data problems
Additional Info The "Y" Cable is straight through 15 wires, no jumpers. The amplifier reads band data perfectly with the band decoder disconnected from the "Y" adapter, but ceases to when the band decoder is reconnected. [Elecraft] KPA500 not reading Band Data
Elecrafters: I just installed a "Y" cable from my K-3 to an Array Solutions DBS-1 band decoder and my KPA 500. The band decoder follows the K-3 perfectly, but the K-3 doesn't read band data. It does tell the K-3 when it is on standby and operate and the K-3 sets the power level accordingly. From this I assume that it is not reading the four band data pins (when powered up it reads 5.3 MHz, all logic zeroes, and does not change until it senses RF). Has anyone had the same or similar problem and found a solution? [Elecraft] 10 W power out with KPA3 Normal
My K-3 is only putting out 10 watts. KPA3 showed in Bypass. I placed it normal, still only 10 watts out. The circuit breaker appears to be in, that is it does not appear to change positions when I push it. Suggestions? Can anyone tell me if the K-3 band data outputs are the same as Yaesu? If so, what are the pin equivalents? I would like to use my K3 with an Array Solutions band decoder (an older style.
