I don't remember the exactly frequency, but I believe I have a reverse-tuned
birdie about this frequency on my K2. I say reverse-tuned because when you bump
the dial, it moves in frequency more than the dial is bumped.

It's not terribly strong, so I ignore it. It is likely the result of mixing
products within the K2, which doesn't surprise me if you find it to be
microphonic.

[Elecraft] [K2] Microphonic 18.157.9 (+/-) ?

2010-12-11 Thread Eugene Balinski
Hi All,

I ran across an interesting thing with my K2. I have a
very pronounced microphonic at 18.157.9. There is a
carrier (birdie?) on that frequency and when I tap on the
top of the radio, the tapping is clearly audible in the
speaker.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

Thanks in advance,
