[Elecraft] BL1 Balun
Hi 'Crafters, With K2/100 100w out after two QSOs on 40m overall about 40 minutes the BL1 balun is quite hot to the touch. This is the first time I have used the BL1 with a CF Zepp. Amazing SWR 1:1 80m-10m, works great. I'm thinking I might need to glue a heat sink on that toroid. Anybody done this or am I too much QRO and heat is normal. hi 73, Joe, aa4nn ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Re: [Elecraft] BL1 Balun query
Hi Mike, I'm not sure what you mean by "grade" but the core in the BL1 is type 43 ferrite which is the same as used in the K2 transmitter. The BL1 core is, of course, much larger in size. 73, Bob, N6CM - Original Message - From: "Mike W" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Sunday, September 26, 2004 5:00 AM Subject: [Elecraft] BL1 Balun query Is the Binocular core used in the BL1 balun the same grade as the binocular core used in the K2's TX strip? ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
