[Elecraft] Battery for KX3
While I'm waiting on my KX3 to arrive I am trying to figure out just what I should get for a battery. Can't afford to pay a bunch for one either as the kitty is just about empty now! I'm thinking of a SLA, about 7 Ah. The idea of a Li-ion is good but from what I've seen for prices they are way out of my range. Any ideas? And is the end of the month still the target for shipping the KX3's? My plan is to use the LiIon battery from my 12 volt DeWalt drill. I haven't decided if I should just shove some spade lugs into the contact slots or I can find a way to sculpt a receptacle for it. My original plan was to put a connector onto their flashlight module but they want $50 for that, doh.
