I heard Roger, K7SJ (NC) on 14.314 right at 1800z at S7 here in
Alaska. I waited to call him until he turned his antenna from the
east coast to the SW. It still took several calls to get thru all
the stronger stations to the south of him. He had to rotate north to
fully copy my signal. I am using a K3/10 and 3-element beam (Hygain
TH3mk4 at 50-feet). My K3/10 outputs 16w with the PWR control at
maximum (measured with a Bird 43 power meter). I was pleased that my
nearly QRP signal made it.

Perhaps conditions skipped over Beaverton, being only a couple
hundred miles distant? I heard 1's, 2's, 4's, 5's 6's and 7's checking in.

There were still stragglers on when I tuned them at nearly
11:00 am PDT waiting for the Elecraft SSB net.

As usual, I heard nothing on 14.314 at the designated time and
   I "went elsewhere".
