I can't imagine that you would have any problem with just plugging
the KUSB into the USB port on the PC with Win7 and let it find the
driver. I don't have a KUSB, but I use FTDI USB to Serial cables and
have not had a problem with Win7 finding the proper driver for them.
Win7 found everything it needed to use any of the popular logging
programs with USB to Serial cables for the K2, K3 and WinkeyerUSB.
