I can't help you with the bail height, but if the bands are typical dead (sparsely populated), consider using the SCAN function. Just sit back and let the rig do the work. That was going to be my suggestion until you beat me to it. I was measuring the bail projection from the bottom of the feet and find it is 1.75 inches, so a 0.5 inch thick piece of something (wood, plastic, paperback book, etc) under the front feet will produce the requested result. [Elecraft] K3 bail height
After owning my K3 for over 6 months now I still find the height of the bail annoying. Is there anyone out there interested in making a lower height bail, say 30 mm or 1.125" lower ??
