Re: [Elecraft] K4 Remote Antenna button
Wayne Just looking at the updated manuals and wanted to know about the DC input power range limits. On page 4 of the new update its ays power of 13.8 to 14.2V preferred. I have been running my K3s with an input power of 14.8V based on IMD tests I have done. What is the safe range for DC input and is the 14.2V recommendation based on an IMD sweet spot or can I leave my existing supply at 14.8V. I can adjust down to 14.2V if that is better operating point. Thanks for updates on docs. de Dave K5MWR On 11/2/2020 10:18, Wayne Burdick wrote: On Nov 2, 2020, at 7:51 AM, Jim Miller wrote: This is mentioned in the online manual. Do you have a particular antenna switch or other device in mind? It could also be a rotator, etc. 73, Wayne N6KR __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to do...@suddenlink.net __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Re: [Elecraft] K4 Remote Antenna button
I have neither a K4 nor a loop controller from Loftur[0], but my dream is adding an ethernet interface to the latter and controlling it from the former. Nothing yet. I'm waiting to see what is possible. [Elecraft] K4 Remote Antenna button
This is mentioned in the online manual. However there's no suggestion as to how it would interact with an external device. Obviously some code inside the K4 would need to do some signalling, perhaps written by an approved ISV. How would it physically transmit commands? USB, Ethernet? I don't see many other choices.
