[Elecraft] KTS1

2016-03-19 Thread Dauer, Edward
I just ordered a K1, to complete my Elecraft menagerie. Some pics of the
K1 on the ŒNet show what was called the ³KTS1 Tilt Stand." It seems to be
no longer sold by Elecraft, or at least it¹s not on the order page. There
are a few Internet sites with ideas about a homebrew alternative; but I
wondered if the real thing might still be available. Anyone who has one
they¹d like to sell, please let me know condition and price to 80209.
Thanks,

Ted, KN1CBR

Can't figure out how to store the long arms when they're not in use with the
hardware provided and would appreciate some help.

2012-06-28 Thread Joe Vrabel
Hello: I had the KTS1 Tilt Stand for the K1 a few years ago. I think if you
look at the bottom cross piece you will see a few tapped holes. The long
tilt stand pieces store there horizomtally. There should be a few of the
thumb screws in those holes to secure. Yours may be missing. Hope this
helps. 73

The KTS1 has been discontinued for many years.

I found it to be a grossly over-engineered and complex solution to what most
owners likely would have preferred...just some sort of simple bale that
remained attached and could be folded down in two seconds to prop up the front.

There were a couple of simple third-party alternatives available 15 years ago.
All development of new K1 features and options ceased by 2002.

2017-05-10 Thread Ingo Meyer, DK3RED

Hello Jim,

Does Elecraft still sell the KTS1 tilt stand for the K1? If not, does anyone
know of an
alternative?

There is an alternative on the website of KR1ST.

It's designed for a FT-817, but also usable for all small transceivers.

2017-05-10 Thread Jessie Oberreuter

Try LapWorks Laptop Legs. The grey ones (if you can find them) are
almost an exact color match.

http://www.laptopdesk.net/laptop-legs.html

They can be configured for three different heights (flat, low, high),
and the flat setting is, for all intents and purposes, a height match to
the stock rubber feet :).
