Re: [Elecraft] Leftover parts after KX3 build???
Good morning Don, Thanks for the reply and the only reason alarm bells went off regarding these washers there were only 2 shipped and then seemed a little oversized and unique. So that made me wonder if they were to go somewhere on the KX3 build or not. It was not like there was 6 of them and 2 left over but just 2 came and they were never used. Re: [Elecraft] Leftover parts after KX3 build???
Mike, It is not unusual to find a few extra pieces of small hardware items in an Elecraft kit. It is better to have a couple left over than to have one short! The hardware is weighed rather than counted, so on lightweight pieces, one has to apply a small 'fudge factor' to assure that the number packed will be sufficient. That is not a problem with pieces that weigh more. 73, Don W3FPR On 10/9/2012 6:08 PM, Mike Weir wrote: > After completing the KX3 serial 1990 I have the two number 4 washers > leftover. [Elecraft] Leftover parts after KX3 build???
After completing the KX3 serial 1990 I have the two number 4 washers leftover. They are on page A4 of the assembly manual sixth down from the top. I did a search in the PDF manual for them and the only result that comes back is page A4 where they are listed as a part.
