Re: [Elecraft] Mobile mounting for K2 and/or K3
Have you considered a RAM mount replacement center console for you F250? You should check the dimensions carefully, but at first glance I would say a K2 would fit nicely, along with other radios, and have a nice clean appearance. http://www.ram-mount.com/Products/ConsoleMounts/tabid/414/Default.aspx That approach wouldn't be cheap, but it would look sweet. [Elecraft] Mobile mounting for K2 and/or K3
I'm looking for any ideas for a source to mount the K2 or K3 in the Ford F250 PU in the middle on the transmission hump. Ideally, a non-intrusive (to the radio housing) bracket arrangement to hold the radio so it can sit behind the shift up against the front seat at a slight angle. Without making custom brackets, is there anything out in the market that would work? I could mount the radio horizontally on to a laptop pedestal but they take up more room and are expensive. Thanks for sharing ideas 73, John, W1QS __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

John, Try velcro - it works for a lot of tough mounting situations. Velcro strap - the kind that sticks the two sides togetheer might be handy too. 73, Don W3FPR John Lawrence wrote: I'm looking for any ideas for a source to mount the K2 or K3 in the Ford F250 PU in the middle on the transmission hump.
