[Elecraft] OT: Wide digital QRM on 17m
Does anyone have any idea what the ~20KHz wide digital mode QRM is at the bottom of 17m? It extends from about 18.054 to 18.076, and is a solid S9 strength here, and appears to be coming from Europe. I wasn't sure if it was local or not, but just had a cw QSO w/ an op in Spain who said it was very strong there as well. 73, Dale WA8SRA __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Hi Bill, Yes -- that is exactly what it looks like on my P3 as well. It put a quick end to a QSO I was having a couple of mornings ago. Thanks for the info. 73, Dale WA8SRA > Hi Dale,Does it look or sound like this: > http://www.flickr.com/photos/ak5x/8951214398/ > > If so it is the Cyprus based UK OTH radar.
