Re: [Elecraft] P3 Query
David, Simply press the MENU button on the front of the P3, then using the SELECT knob, scroll through the menu until you get to "VFO CURSOR TYPE" . Then press the SELECT knob in to toggle between U and BAR . 73, Paul -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/P3-Query-tp7579698p7579700.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Elecraft] P3 Query
Menu - Cursors. Tapping select will toggle between the vertical bar and "U" cursors. IITM! 73, ... The scale setting is the DIFFERENCE between the top and bottom of the display. 150-180 dB is very INSENSITIVE. You want a very SENSITIVE setting, but no so sensitive that it gets blown away by big signals and noise. I usually set my scale at 42 dB for contests, where there are a lot of very strong signals, and at 24 dB for routine operation. I find that 24dB shows weak signals that I can't hear It's VERY important that AVERAGING be ON, and set for it's highest setting. A scale of perhaps 12-18 dB is about as low as I would go for showing very weak signals. 73, Jim K9YC __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Elecraft] P3 query
I use my P3 for weak signal work. Is it possible to expand the scale, so say 150 to 120db is what I want to see, rather than 150 to 90?
