I'm looking at using this with the Small Wonder Labs 20m PSK transceiver and Elecraft T1 (?) ATU (which I have already), thinking about a live demo for the 2007 RSGB HF Convention. A simple and effective portable station coupled with a nice 12.1" Toshiba laptop. Without a case the W1 would get wet and / or damaged, it will certainly not be spaniel-proof. My ideal case would be metallic - die-cast box, leds on the top as the toys will probably by lying on the ground (or in the snow). Hi Simon, Good to have you join this vote. I have just finished the construction of W1 and shall use it for portable use. I do need a case because W1 will be used in the field. My LP100 is to be used in shack. Since W1 now does not have a case, when my fingers accidentally touch the area around Q1, Q2, U2, the LEDs light up. My I just add a vote in favour of a sturdy case for taking the W1 portable? For the shack I have N8LP's offering, for portable I currently do not have a solution and the W1 in a case would be ideal.
