Re: [Elecraft] measurements for the KX3's receiver
My understanding is that the ARRL likes to purchase a regular transceiver through normal channels to assure themselves that the manufacturer does not "peak up" the unit just for the testing. At least that is how it used to be - things may have changed. 73, Don W3FPR On 6/14/2012 2:00 PM, David Burmaster wrote: > Hi > > does anyone know if Elecraft has loaned a KX3 to Rob Sherwood and/or ARRL's > Test Lab for measurements on the receiver? > > 73, dave, W1TM, Watertown, MA > > __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

He has had available an early production unit for a while, but Elecraft says it needs to be updated to the current level before testing. Yesterday Elecraft sent me the invoice for the one I ordered and it should be here early next week. I plan to assemble it and put it in play in time for Field Day. Then Rob can test it if the other KX3 isn't available in an updated state by that time.
