On K2 #12, Paddle Normal has dits on the left paddle and dahs on the right. Is there a standard setup for the paddles with a keyer? I've just finished building a KX1 and I have a K2 and with both of these the keyer is set up to send dahs with the left paddle and dits with the right paddle. Yet if the bug was the precursor of the present day keyer it seems that the reverse should be the default or normal setting. Anybody help me with this? That's where I started out. I then went to k7qo's pages at http://www.qth.net/k7qo and that kind of got me thinking I need to learn how to use the paddles and quit using my keyboard keyer.
