Hi, Raj. The link to the Prolific web site for updated drivers for the KUSB is in the k3 Utility Help Troubleshooting section. Yes, I know that no one ever reads Help (me included), but as issues have come up I've tried to add a section that describes the solutions that have been discovered.
Eric asked me again for the link and I suspect he's planning to add a link from the Elecraft web site. He's a pretty busy guy, though. Thanks for your note, it's another confirmation that the driver update is consistently resolving this issue. I had updated my Prolific driver some months ago and didn't ran into this issue during development testing. The device is PL-2303. I updated the driver from 2.0.0.18 to 2.0.2.8 (on WinXP SP2) and it solved the DSP update problem via KUSB.
