Re: [Elecraft] P3 K3 not quite in sync.

See p24 of the P3 Owner's Manual. Section: Frequency Calibration.
Yours might need a touch up.

I'm on 12M and I tune in a station and I see the peak'apex of that
signal on the graph on the P3 but it is slightly lower than where it
is the strongest on the K3. To hear the station loudest and keep the
P3 indicator in place I need to adjust the shift one step lower than
the FC asterisk is set at.

For example; the peak of the signal and the freq shown on the P3 are
on 24.899.88 (the K3 reads 24.899.884) however, on the K3's CWT
setting it is two marks to the left of center and the signal is
audibly obviously low. If I turn the shift one click CCW I hear the
station clearly. If I hit spot and tune to get the signal at its best
the frequency of the K3 shifts to 24.899.958 and I hear the station
as the expected but the apex of the signal on the P3 has shifted
left.

Another example: On the P3 , the apex of the stations signal is
28.019.90 the station is obviously low to my ears, the K3 reads
28.019.900 and the signal on the CWT reads2-3 marks low. I hit spot
and the signal is exactly now right but the P3 now reads 28.019.96
and the K3 now reads 28.019.961 and the apex of the signal is
obviously to the left of the marker where the K3 is set.

Is there a calibration I've missed that I need to perform to get the
K3 P3 to be in sync?

Thanks.
