[Elementary-dev-community] Apport reports now include GSettings dumps

2012-12-16 Thread Sergey "Shnatsel" Davidoff
Hey guys,

Crash and bug reports generated by Apport now include a dump of all
GSettings keys that belong to the package with the app in question.
Now you can see how exactly your app is set up in bug and crash
reports. An example of this can be found at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/slingshot/+bug/1091000

This is one thing I wanted to implement for quite a while. If you need
any other info submitted along with crash or bug reports for your app,
let me know.

Theyre called plugs because they are built wit Gtk.Plug( and Gtk.Socket).

It's Switchboard and its panels are called plugs (I'm not really sure why).

Well, yes, we were discussing it, but we didn't come to any decision.
I, for one, do not support this idea :P

I talk about the "System preferences" panel, and (AFAIK) the LIBPEAS
library, which will be used, among others, to migrate the plugin system
in Gedit (https://live.gnome.org/Gedit/Libpeas).

I think I read somewhere that you were discussing migrate it to LibPeas,
but not sure...

Which panel do you mean?

Also, what does Gedit have to do with panels?

[Elementary-dev-community] panel architecture

2012-12-16 Thread Sergio Costas
Hi all:

I read somewhere (maybe in the list?) that the panel architecture will
be changed in Luna+1 to use the Gedit plug-in system. Will the new
system remain compatible with the old one, or will be necessary to port
everything to it?

Thanks.

Re: [Elementary-dev-community] Package builds for Ubuntu 13.04 [ARM] needed

2012-12-16 Thread Sergey "Shnatsel" Davidoff
Turns out we can't provide Raring packages due to a problem with
Launchpad builders.

shnatsel, hi, i am canceling all raring armhf build because
they are not building due a qemu problem of the hosts the builders are
running on
shnatsel, so there is actually no raring build expect the
ones which don't need gtk+
(builders stuck while dpkg is setting up the gtk+ package)
shnatsel, i already mentioned it and they thought about
backporting qemu-linaro
 no eta though
