[Elementary-dev-community] Gala Workspace Animation
Greetings, A lot of users have expressed an extreme dislike for the Workspace Switcher animation (When clicking on another workspace in the Switcher.) The issue is that the desktop slides to the left/right as well as down. This does look really odd, and some people report it actually being disorientating to watch. Maybe we should consider changing the behaviour? (I personally dislike it too). One option is to slide the desktop, and then after the movement is finished, slide the desktop back down. Thoughts? Can I be +1/2? Because I don't love the idea of having two separate animations lengthening the transition time and occurring right after the other. But the current implementation is a little awkward. I think that a click on a workspace should trigger the horizontal transition, but the switcher should not go away until the user moves his mouse off the switcher and on to the desktop. What thinkest ye?
