hmm, I had no such experiences at least with the userspace driver. Are you using them or the v4l-experimental tree? I've tested the driver (hauppauge winth-hvr 900 B2C0) on a 32 bits system and it works, but in a 64bits environment, it doesn't behaves the same way: For exemple, each time I plug the device in, it freezzes completely, the keyboard seems to be suddenly desactivated, I have to force reboot.
