[O] Bug: latex blocks preview inline [9.2.1 (release_9.2.1-217-g232160 )]

2019-02-13 Thread Joao Cortes

Consider this latex source block,

  #+HEADER: :file latex.svg
  #+HEADER: :results drawer
  #+BEGIN_SRC latex
\begin{tikzpicture}
  \draw[red] (0,0) circle (1cm);
\end{tikzpicture}
  #+END_SRC

I would like to preview the result inline using
org-toggle-inline-images.

When using the latest release from https://code.orgmode.org/bzg/org-mode
(9.2.1-217-g232160), the result is

  #+RESULTS:
  :results:
  :end:

When using the org-plus-contrib package from the org archive
(9.2.1-8-g1b1797-elpaplus),

  #+RESULTS:
  :results:
  [[file:latex.svg]]
  :end:

I was expecting to get the second result with both installations as it
seems to be the intended behaviour.

Is there any way to tweak the latest release (from
https://code.orgmode.org/bzg/org-mode) to get the second output?

Thanks
Joao

[O] Bug: constant width columns [9.2.1 (release_9.2.1-246-ga7cf12 )]

2019-02-18 Thread Joao Cortes

It seems imposing a constant width to a column no longer works,

| 123456 |
||

After rolling back to 9.1.14 It works again,

2019-02-18 Thread Joao Cortes
Sorry, you are right. I was reading the 9.1.9 manual, so I expected a call to
org-table-align
would collapse the columns accordingly to their width tokens

Thanks
Joao Cortes

FWIW, I cannot reproduce anything wrong with that table.

[O] Python source block and :dir header arg

2019-04-01 Thread Joao Cortes
Consider the following python source block,

#+begin_src python :results output : session :dir ./run
import os;
cwd = os.getcwd()
print(cwd)
#+end_src

The dir header arg should change the directory used to run the session,
in this case to the directory "../base/run", where "base" is the parent
directory the file visited by the current buffer. Instead, I get
"../base". Is this a bug?

Thank you
Joao Cortes

Re: [O] Python source block and :dir header arg

2019-04-01 Thread Joao Cortes
Looking at org-babel-execute-src-block, It seems the only way to get the
the intended behavihour is adding :mkdirp "yes" or some other
value that gives a true value to the result of the =and= call in the
following snippet.

This is the relevant code at ob-core.el, starting at line 681.
#+begin_src emacs-lisp :line yes
 (default-directory
   (or (and dir
(not (member mkdirp '("no" "nil" nil)))
(progn
  (let ((d (file-name-as-directory
(expand-file-name dir
(make-directory d 'parents)
d)))
   default-directory))
#+end_src

This looks like a bug. If the :dir directory already
exists, the :mkdirp parameter should not stop setting the default
directory to :dir

Thanks for checking. Do you know what to do now, assuming It is a bug?

Toggle dimming of blocked tasks

2019-11-20 Thread Joao Cortes

The org-mode version I am using is  9.2.3 (release_9.2.3-372-g66cd1f).

I would like being able to toggle the dimming of blocked tasks.

"#" is mapped to 'org-agenda-dim-blocked-tasks'. Calling this function
seem to do nothing, independently of the current
'org-agenda-dim-blocked-tasks' value: If I do

'(setq org-agenda-dim-blocked-tasks t)' ,

the list has the blocked tasks dimmed, independently of calling
'org-agenda-dim-blocked-tasks'. If I do

'(setq org-agenda-dim-blocked-tasks nil)',

then the blocked tasks are always fully visible.
