Trying It By Yourrself

2005-05-21 Thread Oliver Bauman

Hello,

I am dating ayounger woman (21). Before we
began dating I was hearing stories of
guys younger than me taking Vitamin V.

Guys in their 20's and thirties were using VlAGRRA and so
I decided that I needed that same edge the younger guys were getting.

25 mg is best for me and I have found that VlAGRRA makes
me a super stud and the girl rides me and always has an orgasm or two. It
has made me much better in bed and I give her some very long and extended
foreplay now.

It has really helped my confidence knowing that if needed
I can give it to her any time she wants it.

V. has to be the greatest invention since sliced bread.

save file complains encoding incompatibility

2005-05-21 Thread Xah Lee

i get the following message in emacs whenever i save some files:

Selected encoding mule-utf-16be-with-signature-unix disagrees with
utf-16-unix specified by file contents.  Really save (else edit coding
cookies and try again)? (yes or no)

For example, this html file:
http://xahlee.org/p/monkey_king/x025.html

This behavior is very annoying. (because every 10 secs i save i have to type
yes) Then, the
message is not very helpful. For example, although i'm not a elisp programer
but i've used
emacs for 6 years for much of its features beyond text editing. It is not clear
to me what the
cookies referes to in this message, or how to turn the message off.

Thanks.

Re: message-box is not for questions

2005-05-21 Thread Nick Roberts
  message-box like y-or-n-p calls x_popup_dialog which calls xdialog_show
which has the line dialog_name[0] = 'Q' which gives the frame the title
  Question.

However, unlike y-or-n-p, message-box does not ask a question but
provides information, so I think in this case it should do
  dialog_name[0] = 'I'.

  Can you possibly fix it?

I've tried to do this.

Fx_popup_dialog in xmenu.c takes an extra optional argument which defaults to
Q for Question so x-popup-dialog, y-or-no-p, yes-or-no-p are unchanged.

Fmessage_box in editfns.c calls Fx_popup_dialog with a value of I to give
the frame the title Information.

I guess the changes in xmenu.c need to be copied to w32menu.c and macmenu.c
but I'll wait for these changes to be reviewed. I've not made such changes
before so there is a bit of guesswork and someone who is familar with the
C code really needs to review them carefully.

It might be useful at some stage to add a lisp primitive called error-box.

iswitchb and regexps.

2005-05-21 Thread Michael Cadilhac
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

With iswitchb-mode, C-x b, then hit C-t to enable regexp mode, and then `['.

This gives me the following error message:
Error in post-command-hook: (invalid-regexp Unmatched [ or [^)
then makes buffer switching completely unusable until C-g.

set-variable() causes some warnings in NTEmacs

2005-05-21 Thread MIYOSHI Masanori
In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.1.2600)
configured using `configure --with-msvc (12.00)'

set-variable() causes the following warnings both on the
minibuffer and the message buffer in NTEmacs.

---
Note, built-in variable `x-use-old-gtk-file-dialog' not bound
Note, built-in variable `x-use-underline-position-properties' not bound
---

The following operations regenerate them.
o start emacs with `-q'
o M-x set-variable
o Set variable:
  - abbrev-mode
o Set abbrev-mode buffer-locally to value:
  - t

The next patch suppresses the warnings.

It might be good for them to define x-use-old-gtk-file-dialog and
x-use-underline-position-properties as dummy built-in functions.
