A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. Should have been in quotes, since it's a citation (from Ralph Waldo Emerson). Another instance of foolish consistency. In writing code, consistency is often useful. In an email, it is much less important. ___ emacs-pretest-bug mailing list emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/emacs-pretest-bug

inconsistent childish MS bashing
I just noticed the following text in the docstring for buffer-file-type: This variable is meaningful on MS-DOG and Windows NT If we're going to refer to MS-DOS as MS-DOG, shouldn't we demonstrate that we're consistent in our childishness by also referring to Windows as Windoze or Winblows? Alternatively we could use the proper grown up names MS-DOS and Windows NT. ___ emacs-pretest-bug mailing list emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/emacs-pretest-bug
