Re[2]: Frequency Spectrum Chart
Ed et al, The following info was obtained fresh from the NTIA web site below: http://www.ntia.doc.gov/osmhome/allochrt.html; To order the Spectrum Wall Chart from the Government Printing Office, specify the following: 1996 Spectrum Wall Chart ((stock #: 003-000-00652-2),$3.25) Address mail orders to: U.S. Government Printing Office, Superintendent of Documents, Post Office Box 371954, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15250-7954. Place phone orders/inquiries at: 202-512-1800 Place fax orders/inquiries at: 202-512-2250 Place fax-on-demand orders with U.S. Faxwatch at: 202-512-1716 I believe the chart from the Omega web site, as previously mentioned, is the same as the NTIA chart with some advertizing included. It's important to note here that I would've referred to a supreme pizza with the works instead of only a pepperoni pizza. :-) I hope this helps. battery back-up systems -- CE Mark
Hello everyone, Maybe someone in the group knows the following information. Which are the electrical safety standards applicable to battery back-up systems with respect to CE marking? EN 60950 states that it is not applicable to battery back-up systems, which are not integral part of the equipment. Is there any concern about the type of batteries employed in these systems? Are any national environmental regulations limiting the choice? Thanks. Alexandru Guidea CAE Electronics Ltd. Montreal, Canada

Re: IEC 1000-3-2, -3
Jody, We currently use a Fluke 41B Harmonics Analyzer to do preliminary harmonics testing. We have found it to be satisfactory for performing preliminary measurements. I was never able to find a reasonable flicker meeting for preliminary testing of voltage fluctuations. Please let me know if you find one through this forum.
