EMC Friendly PC Platforms.
Can anyone recommend a QUITEP.C.to be used as support equipment during EMC testing. We are looking for a vendor that really meets the FCC/CE limits with good margins. Both notebook and desktop to be used. Our testing will include the 1.6 GHz area near the newer PC clock frequencies. Please respond direct if you feel this is not a emc-pstc group topic. Excess EMC Test equipment
Correction: The Biconical antenna is a Tensor model 4104 not EMCO. Tensor changed it's name to EMCO. This Bicon is same as EMCO 3104 and I do have factory manual with antenna factors. FCC Verification Testing
To all who responded, many thanks. It appears that company A and company B must understand the responibilites of future compliance issues and be able to document the testing standards used and revision dates. FCC Verification Testing
Just a quick question: Company A sells a non-residential ITE device which has passed FCC class A and has outside test lab. test report. Company B wants to re-label company A's product and sell it to be operated and installed as described in A's manuals. Can Company B use A's report as proof of FCC compliance. Power Cord Question
Dear Group: We provide a OEM external disk drive with our product. This dirve is provided with a U.S. two blade brick power supply. We would like to add an adaptor cord which would have the NEMA 5-15R on one end and the IEC320-C14 male on the other. This would allow any country power cord with IEC320-C13 female to be connected. Is it OK to convert from two blade Class II to a three wire Class I cord? Any other suggestions?
