Re: [PSES] Address requirement of Product Label for CE Marking
Philip, the „blue guide 2016“ states the following in this case: “The address must indicate a single point at which the manufacturer can be contacted, in particular by market surveillance authorities. The legal text obliges the manufacturer to put a single contact point on the product. Only one single contact point in each product is allowed. This is not necessarily the address where the manufacturer is actually established. This address can for example be the one of the authorised representative or of the customer services. The single contact point does not need to be in every Member State where the product is made available. The manufacturer may however put other addresses provided that it is clear which one is the single contact point. The latter is then to be indicated on the product/documentation as the ‘single contact point’. The address or the country does not necessarily have to be translated into the language of the Member State where the product is made available on the market but the characters of the language used must allow identifying the origin and the name of the company.” (see 4.2.2.1) The requirement to indicate the postal address on the product is traceability. The market surveillance authorities need a contact address of the manufacturer. I hope to have helped you with this. The EMC Directive now states that “Manufacturers shall indicate, on the apparatus, their name, registered trade name or registered trade mark and the postal address at which they can be contacted etc.”. I work a large organisation, which has a large number of divisions covering a various range of products. So is it the overall company’s “registered” address that should be placed on the product label or can it be the address of the division where it is manufactured, as this is where the Technical File is held. I would be grateful for the members help. [PSES] FW: Brazilian requirements for wheel loaders
Dear safety experts, I am searching for requirements in respect to (self-propelled) wheel loaders that apply for Brazil. Can anyone give me a hint? I found requirements for earth moving equipment (for agroforestry applications) in the NR 12 (it´s the only NR I found in English). But I am pretty sure that there are additional requirements in the other Normas regulamentadoras. Can anyone provide me with the English versions of any Brazilian NRs? Thanks in advance. [PSES] US FCC 47 CFR Part 15 for trickle charging device?
Dear all, we are assisting a German company to deliver a trickle charging device to the USA. The system is an accumulator charging device for different number of NC-accu-cells. It is designed to charging up a different number of accumulator packs automatically to its maximum capacity. Afterwards a trickle mode is started to conserve the charge state. The charger operates through a 230V AC power-supply. It will be used in general and industries environment. Question: Does this trickle charging device fall under the provisions of 47 CFR Part 15? What are the equipment authorization requirements? I would highly appreciate your timely response.
