RE: Australia and Radio Lans

2003-10-21 Thread Sam Wismer

Hi Rich,
I wasn't aware that labeling was voluntary, that is certainly news to
me. I thought the C-tick was mandatory.

One other thing you should be aware of is that you do need in country
representation to hold your DoC and your technical files and reports.

Kind Regards,

Hi Richard, for this device, labeling is voluntary. If you wish to
label
the item, you must 1st seek permission from the ACA (a relatively
painless
process), which is used more for marketing reasons.

Best Regards,
Martin.

Australia and Radio Lans

2003-10-20 Thread richwo...@tycoint.com

We have an ITE product that includes a 2.45 GHz spread spectrum, low power,
radio LAN card. For Australia, I understand that compliance with the
following is necessary and sufficient:

* Compliance with the technical requirements of ACA
"Radiocommunications Class Licence (Spread Spectrum Devices)".
* Compliance with the technical requirements of ACA
"Radiocommunications (Electromagnetic Radiation - Human Exposure) Standard
2001".
* Compliance with the technical requirements of the EMC regulations
including C-tick marking and the Declaration of Conformity.

I understand there are no other licensing, marking or declaration
requirements. Is this correct?
