DO-160 Airplane EMC standard?
Hi Doug: Try the source - the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) at http://www.rtca.org. I also found it at Techstreet (http://www.techstreet.com), Document Center (http://www.document-center.com), and Global IHS (http://global.ihs.com) Pat Lawler EMC/Reliability Engineer Condor DC Power Supplies, Inc. __ Greetings all, Does anyone know where I can find a copy of DO-160? I did a thorough Google search but mostly found labs that offer the evaluation. I'd guess that this is a governmental standard and would therefore be free, but I can't find it anywhere. It is not governmental. The RTCA is a private organization, the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics, and they charge for it. I have a bootleg electronic copy, but it is too large to e-mail. Plus I would NEVER do that, because it would be illegal. David, I'm afraid it is neither governmental nor free. It is published by SAE, http://www.sae.org/ , or can also be obtained in its European equivalent >from http://www.eurocae.org/ . Dave, I'm sure that any major document house sells DO-160D, but probably only in hardcopy. However, from the RTCA website (www.rtca.org), different versions of DO-160 are available in hardcopy and download with pricing much less expensive than the two document houses that I looked at. And for RTCA members, downloading is free. Also, RTCA also provides a pretty good description of the standard, too. IHTH.
