EMI/EMC/RF Test Engineer

SIEMIC Laboratories, San Jose, California (2 openings)
EMI/EMC/RF Test Engineer for International Regulatory Compliance Testing 
and Certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

* Reviews and evaluates technical EMI/EMC/RF requirements from
  customer and formulates compliance test plan to meet international
  regulatory requirements, including but not limited to FCC, IC, CE,
  Korea MIC, Taiwan BSMI/NCC, China CCC/SRRC, etc.
* Understand, interpret and tailor international EMI/EMC/RF
  specifications and test methods
* Perform EMI/EMC/RF Compliance Testing according to test plan and
  compliance Testing Procedures.
* Perform in-house calibration of EMC Chamber, Open Area Test Site,
  Test Equipment, and Antenna and ESD Generator, etc. according to
  Calibration Procedures.
* Interfaces with customers to resolve EMI/RFI issues and provide
  consultancy.
* Familiar with EMI/EMC/RF Test instruments, such as Spectrum
  Analyzer, EMI Receiver, Signal Sweeper, Network Analyzer, Antenna,
  LISN, Power Amplifier, etc.
* Prepares Compliance Test reports and/or Technical Construction Files\
* Generates and implements documentation, including test plans and
  test procedures.
* Familiar with ISO 17025 (Laboratory Quality Assurance)
* Support SIEMIC Oversea Operations including staff training for our
  brand new SIEMIC (Nanjing, China) Laboratories – the largest
  facility in that region
* Other duties may be assigned.

Factory Mutual Research Corporation (FM) has two position openings for
Product Safety Engineers in the Approvals Section handling Certification of
Hazardous (Classified) Location electrical equipment.  The major portion of
the Section activity is dealing with the protection concept of Intrinsic
Safety as defined by the National Electrical Code in Articles 500, 504, 
505.  A background on process measurement and control equipment or
electrical safety is desirable.  The work is done in our Norwood, MA,
laboratories and at client facilities.  Travel time will average 10%,
principally in North America. These are exempt positions and the starting
salary depends on the selected individual's experience and qualifications.
