Re: Flammabilty requirement for cloth used on loudspeaker / UL6500
I have heard the "lilly" tablets can be purchased at Target stores, although I have not yet verified this. Re: Flammabilty requirement for cloth used on loudspeaker / UL6500
I read in !emc-pstc that Peter Tarver wrote (in ) about 'Flammabilty requirement for cloth used on loudspeaker / UL6500', on Wed, 13 Feb 2002: >My note on the outside says >"hexamethylene tetramine C16H12N4," that last bit being the >precise chemical composition. Not precisely! It's C6H12N4, or, more informatively if rather repetitively, NH2CH2CH2NH2CHCHNH2CH2CH2NH2, and certain variations on that theme. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only. http://www.jmwa.demon.co.uk After swimming across the Hellespont, I felt like a Hero. Rich, Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, Hexamine is temporarely unavailable from IMSPLUS, and, furthermore, this product cannot be sold outside the US. RE: Flammabilty requirement for cloth used on loudspeaker / UL6500
Pierre & Rich - At one time, I had to perform such testing, but it's too long ago and was so infrequently necessary that I've lost all details. However, I did save one of the tablets in a 35mm film canister. My note on the outside says "hexamethylene tetramine C16H12N4," that last bit being the precise chemical composition. Regards, Peter L.
