Dear all, The product concerned is a metal box located on the (metal) roller bridge of a crane and controls the movement of that bridge. It is powered by min. 48Vac and receives commands from an operator with a battery powered hand-held radio transmitter command box. The 48V ac power supply is connected to the metal frame of the roller bridge. The crane nor roller bridge are connected to ground by means of a fixed connection. All additional metal parts are connected to the fixed or moving part of the crane. Questions: 1.- What standards and regulations are applicable to both products for EMC, Safety and Radio, for US and EU market? 2.- Can the metal frame be considered as "reliably connected to PE"?
