And its also still being held for ransom, I can't download it without
consenting to all the phishing/hacking bs that goes with it. And of
course there no link back to protest such icky actions.

[Emc-users] Nice manual lathe in WA (assume WA USA not WA AU)

Holbrook H20 / H17 at a guess. Absolutely top class lathe. Maybe the best,
I would be interested to hear of other candidates in that envelope. DSG
obviously. Graziano might be in with a shout. The USA folk are probably
shouting "Monarch" though this is a bit bigger.

It's just a download link. Why would you need to install any
software on your machine other than a web browser It appears that
they don't.
I just sent you a file. Don't worry it's OK.

Of course I could have attached it to this email but what if it was a
10GB file? That is what this service is for, sending stuff you can't
email.

[Emc-users] WeTransfer? Anybody know anything about them?

I have not heard of wetransfer before, but it seems like the sender has 2
options, email or link and they can select which one they like. I wonder
if the link would just download the file only and not any of their other
junk you're talking about?

It seems to indicate that here:
https://wetransfer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202702243-How-do-I-download-a-transfer-that-was-sent-to-me-

But, of course, it's not clear. You might ask him to send it to your
email, but it's probably a download link w/ extras as well.

https://wetransfer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/210064643-Email-versus-Link-transfers

The weTransfer site doesn't look totally ominous, but I can understand your
trepidation.

[Emc-users] WeTransfer? Anybody know anything about them?

2019-01-25 Thread Gene Heskett
Greetings;

The seller claims he has obtained the english docx file from the maker,
all; 5 that go with the machine. But he sent them to me by way of
WeTransfer, and WeTransfer is holding them hostage until I let their
site install whatever the heck they want to onto my machine.

I emailed him back and said that wasn't going to happen, find a way to
put them on a cd or something & mail to my shipping address. No
further word.
