Coding is good, but there's a lot of work to be done in tweaking the
configuration (both LinuxCNC/HAL and the setup of the distribution in
general), and documentation, HOWTOs, or general spreading awareness
are all appreciated!

One thing I've been thinking of doing is a Beagle Bone to Ramps cape
(tentatively named CapeR) that would let folks just swap out their
Arduino for a BeagleBone. It would mostly just be the two appropriate
connector sets with wires tying them together, and maybe a few
protection or voltage conversion parts to deal with the lower voltages
on the BeagleBone.

Let me know how it goes!

This looks fantastic! The image is downloading now, and I hope to have
some time this weekend to play with it.

I dabbled with LinuxCNC a few years ago, and the 3D printing thing is
giving me an excuse to work with it again. I'd like to find some ways to
contribute. As someone who has a lot of years experience with Linux and
programming, there is probably something I can do.

My target system will primarily be a 3D printer, and occasionally it will
be used to drill and mill PCBs. At this time, I'll disconnect my RAMPS
board from the Arduino and use that as the interface. I know it's not an
exact drop-in, but it should work to get started.

Thanks for getting this set up.
