I'm sorry but I have sad news.

My camera bag has been stolen on that train. Inside were of course a
lot of valuable items, but most importantly here the hard drive that
contained all the pictures I took during FOSDEM and my trip afterwards
was in it too. That means I lost 400 pictures, 60 of which were
portraits I took at FOSDEM, with close to no chance of recovering
them.

I've been travelling since FOSDEM and I'm currently on my train home,
so no I haven't had the time yet, but I'll do that in the coming days.
Once they're ready I'll push them to my GNOME owncloud space and I'll
share with the engagement team.

Nah. Better blog about it!

So far, we haven't received much feedback. I encourage everyone to think
about what we could improve next year.

Alexandre: Have you had the chance to review your photos, yet? And is there
a small selection of photos we could use for the AR 2015?

Heh. Fair enough. Now we only need someone to write a few paragraphs ;-)

I have some photos, but nothing too great. Alexandre had some great ones!

I will help any volunteer who wants to do this.

FOSDEM recap and report

2015-02-03 Thread Tobias Mueller
Hey folks.

Some of you have attended FOSDEM.
I think it'll be helpful to collect feedback on the wiki:
https://wiki.gnome.org/action/edit/Events/FOSDEM/2015#feedback

Could you please add thoughts on what went well and what we should do
differently next year.

Also, we will probably want to have an article for the Annual Report 2015.
I'd be great if you could write an article already while the memory is fresh.
You can probably get an idea of what will be required by looking at the
existing reports: https://wiki.gnome.org/Engagement/AnnualReport

In the same vein: If you happen to have photos, please publish them somewhere
under a free enough licence.
For future reference it might be smart to follow up in this thread so that we
will be able to find the photos later when compiling the report.

Is there anyone who volunteers to write such a (very small) report?

Cheers,
