Any other suggestion? Enigmail is pure JavaScript, and thus cannot crash Thunderbird directly. It may be that something done in Enigmail may cause the crash, but the crash itself is in Thunderbird. I would therefore need a crash signature from Thunderbird to tell anything. I'm not sure if the crash reporting is enabled for Thunderbird versions created by Linux distributions. If not, you may want to try the official Thunderbird release on https://thunderbird.net. Please submit at least one crash to Mozilla, then go to the Troubleshooting info (likely in the "Help" menu), and check the section "Crash Reports". I use Thunderbird 60.4.0 (64-bit) with Enigmail 2.0.9 (20181209-1409) on
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and all the latest updates from Ubuntu repositories.
Everything worked fine until recently, maybe following an unidentified
update...
Now Thunderbird crashes as soon as, from any account, I click on "write
email" followed by "Enigmail". See attached log file.
Should I uninstall Thunderbird (and/or Enigmail) and go back to an
earlier version? Any other suggestion?
