 Yes, that is it. with-fingerprint

This behaviour has been corrected in Enigmail 1.7.

Any idea how long it will take to make it into thunderbird add-ons?

I shouldn't wait for that. Just go to the enigmail website and download 1.7 and
save it in your downloads directory.

Then go to Thunderbird/tools/add-ons

Click on the small drop down list next to the search bar at the top of the
add-ons manager.

click on 'install add-0n from file' and take it from there.

It really is simple and only takes a couple of seconds (plus the time to close
and reopen thunderbird.).

Philip

[Enigmail] fingerprints primary versus sub?

2014-07-16 Thread diggler

Hi

I am a little confused at how or why enigmail chose to display a key
fingerprint.

If I use the command line and do

  gpg --fingerprint my key

The result gives me the fingerprint for the primary key.

If I use the key management of enigmail and right click on my key and
select Key Properties, enigmail shows the fingerprint for my sub key.

This seems contrary and very confusing to every other gpg tool I have
used which will show fingerprint for primary.

Why does enigmail show fingerprint for sub and not primary? Can I
change it?

I am using enigmail 1.6
