[E-devel] build error on entrance

2006-01-29 Thread Martin Klaffenboeck
Hi there

Since a few days I get some errors on entrance and e. This is the
entrance one. Maybe the fix fixes also e, so I don't post e right now.

I use directly from sourceforges cvs, and gentoos '' ebuilds. My
build order:

=PART OF SCRIPT=
for prog in eet dev-db/edb evas ecore embryo imlib2 imlib2_loaders edje
epeg \
media-libs/epsilon esmart emotion engrave ewl entice \
entrance eclair e examine \
engage e_utils e_modules
do
...
=END PART OF SCRIPT=

the entrance fails messages:

spawner.c: In function `Entranced_Filter_Loop':
spawner.c:260: error: `ECORE_EXE_EVENT_DEL' undeclared (first use in
this function)
spawner.c:260: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once

Maybe you can help me somehow?

Thanks,
Martin

This tells me that you don't have matching entrance and ecore
versions. They where both changed some time ago to rename that, and
they where both changed at the same time. It's likely that you are
using an old ecore to build the new entrance. Maybe you have a old
ecore somewhere, or maybe you didn't install the new ecore before
trying to install the new entrance.

[E-devel] Re: Screenshot module i18n patch

2006-01-29 Thread David Stevenson
On 1/27/06, David Stevenson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
As was discussed on the e-intl list, and as I mentioned to devilhorns
on IRC yesterday, I've started writing patches to support i18n in
e_modules.

The attached file is for screenshot. The following commands should do the trick

$ cd e_modules/screenshot
$ tar zxf screenshot_i18n.tar.gz
$ patch -p0
$ rm screenshot.patch

There are some new files to be cvs added:
 ABOUT-NLS
 po/
 po/Makefile.am
po/ja.po  (this was just for testing - it only contains one japanese string so far)

Also, the copyright-holder="TODO" value in autogen.sh should be fixed appropriately

As translations come in later, the new language will need to be added
to the ALL_LINGUAS variable in configure.in. Currently only "ja" is
present.

Here are 4 more module i18n patches:

http://www.geocities.jp/david_at_tokyo/e17/tmp/calendar_i18n.tar.gz
http://www.geocities.jp/david_at_tokyo/e17/tmp/monitor_i18n.tar.gz
http://www.geocities.jp/david_at_tokyo/e17/tmp/mount_i18n.tar.gz
http://www.geocities.jp/david_at_tokyo/e17/tmp/slideshow_i18n.tar.gz

Same drill as with the screenshot module, each tarball contains the new files plus a patch file to be deleted after application.

These patches use a gettext macro of D_( ) for module-specific strings,
and strings that are present in enlightenment's message catalog can be
left wrapped in _( ) as usual. I've tried to update all the module
specific strings accordingly, but any mistakes should get flushed out
when our translators start to translate.

For new translators who don't know - note there is a separate mailing list for sending in your .po files.

RE: [E-devel] E.Org CMS (new thread please!)

Actually, there is a way around of SF project web page read only
policies, you can make a directory on /tmp/persitent/projname there
you can write as you need, I use mediawiki for my project site and yes
readonly policy was pita till I discovered this.

[E-devel] duplicated message

the attached patch avoids a message duplication in enlightenment.pot
(as there is another line in the same file with the same message
minus the space :)

[E-devel] Evas MMX/SSE bug?

2006-01-29 Thread Michael Jennings
I'm getting a SIGILL from evas on one of my systems which has MMX
support but no SSE support. I think it might be a bug in evas'
choosing of optimized routines. Here's the trace:

#8 0xb7e678a5 in evas_common_copy_pixels_rgba_to_rgba_sse () from
/usr/lib/libevas.so.1
#9 0xb7e7c988 in evas_common_scale_rgba_in_to_out_clip_smooth_mmx () from
/usr/lib/libevas.so.1
#10 0xb7e856b4 in evas_common_scale_rgba_in_to_out_clip_smooth () from
/usr/lib/libevas.so.1
#11 0xb7984c97 in evas_engine_software_x11_image_draw ()
   from /usr/lib/evas/modules/engines/software_x11/linux-gnu-i686/module.so
#12 0xb7e4de93 in evas_object_image_render () from /usr/lib/libevas.so.1
#13 0xb7e63198 in evas_render_updates_internal () from /usr/lib/libevas.so.1
#14 0xb7f63f9e in _ecore_evas_x_render () from /usr/lib/libecore_evas.so.1
#15 0xb7f671b4 in _ecore_evas_x_show () from /usr/lib/libecore_evas.so.1
#16 0xb7f62303 in ecore_evas_show () from /usr/lib/libecore_evas.so.1
#17 0x0806ceaf in e_container_show ()
#18 0x080613a8 in main ()

Notice that the MMX routine is calling an SSE routine; that's not
valid on a P2 with only MMX.

Any thoughts? Raster?

Michael
